ASIS Accolades - Security's Best

For the first time, the ASIS Annual Seminar and Exhibits will host a new awards competition recognizing the security industry's best and most innovative products, services, and solutions.

This value-add program provides an incredible opportunity for exhibitors to distinguish their new products and services - in advance and on show site - and gain expanded, virtually year-round exposure on the ASIS Web site.

As an exhibitor, you may submit an innovative technology, product, service or solution for evaluation and judging. Submissions must fit into one of the special Accolades categories for consideration. Please review ALL information carefully before submitting your entry.

Qualifications for Entry:

1. Each entry must be submitted online and paid in full (by credit card) at time of submission. Entry fee is $250 per submission and is non-refundable.
2. Entry must fit into one of the official Accolades categories. Limit three (3) entries per exhibitor.
3. The manufacturer or service provider entering the contest must be a contracted (paid) 2009 Seminar exhibitor, in good standing with ASIS International (ASIS).
4. The product or service must first be available for sale between October 1, 2008 and opening day of the Seminar (September 21, 2009).
5. By entering the competition, submitter grants ASIS permission to use the entry and images of the entered product or service in any promotional materials, print and online, produced by ASIS.
6. Redesign or modifications to an existing technology or product will NOT be considered.
7. Entry deadline is August 3, 2009.

Entry Benefits:

1. Extensive Web site profile for up to 12 months (actual time based on date of entry).
2. Profile featured in a separate onsite directory distributed to attendees.
3. Special icon recognition in the Final Program & Exhibits Guide.
4. Identification as an entrant in the competition for use in the entrant's booth at the Seminar.
5. Email promotion of Accolades Web site and products/solutions in the months preceding and following the Seminar.
6. Special logo that entrants may use in their print and online promotions.

Notification:

1. All entrants will be notified in early September.

Winner Benefits:

In addition to the Entry Benefits listed above, all winners will receive:
1. ASIS Accolades awards presented at the Networking Luncheon on Monday, September 21 (up to 10 winners will be selected)
2. Press release announcing winners.
3. Award winners will be invited to a press event on the first day of the show.
4. Award winners and their products/solutions will be highlighted during the What's New on the Floor session on Monday, September 21.
5. Access to press interviews onsite and potential for additional press coverage.

Accolades Security Categories:

Please select the one category that best describes your submission. (To submit the same product/service for multiple categories, each requires a separate entry and fee.)
• Technology or Service Innovation
A new or groundbreaking advancement in a security technology, service, or combination of products and/or services.

• Security Management Tool
A unique software or hardware solution designed to make the performance of a security team or device more highly-efficient and/or effective.

• Transformational Product or Service
Taking an existing consumer technology or service and changing it completely in function and purpose, for use in an innovative security application. Examples of transformational products include the iPhone and the IBOT Mobility System for the disabled.

• "Green" Security Technology
An eco-friendly security technology inflicts little harm on the environment, either by its materials, components, processes or how it's transported, and/or its environmental benefits such as use of energy and materials.

• Use of Integration
Combining multiple technologies (three or more) to achieve an innovative, fully integrated security solution.

• Unique Approach to Security
A one-of-a-kind or "out of the box" approach to dealing with and solving any type of security operations or management challenge..

• "Coolest" Stuff
A security device or technique that sets itself apart as breakthrough or inventive as compared to similar products or techniques - something that, not so long ago, was yet to be imagined.

Judging Process:

A team of five (5) judges (ASIS members) representing end users and experts in security technologies will evaluate all entries and then select up to ten (10) winners from the Accolades categories listed. There may be more than one winner in some categories, while none in others. Judges' decisions will be final.

Part I - Entry Online Application and Documentation for Web Site:

Please review the Application information before submitting your entry below.

1. Full manufacturer/provider contact information (company name, mailing address, phone, fax, website, url to specific product info or demo, email for sales inquiries)
2. Entry contact name, company, title, phone, fax, email (NOT for publication)
3. Company logo art (high-resolution, color 'vector artwork' for print reproduction)
4. Product/service/solution name
5. Booth number
6. Accolades category
7. Launch date
8. 35-word synopsis for use in show marketing materials and onsite new product/service guide
9. Innovative features/key benefits (50 word limit)
10. Data/spec/sales sheet (upload 1 PDF or PowerPoint)
11. Product or service photos/diagrams/images (upload 2 images total: (1) high-resolution, full-color digital file for print, and (1) for web
12. Case study or white paper overview, if applicable (1) - 250 word
13. Other awards/recognition, if applicable

Part II - Entry Questions:

Judging will be based on your responses to the following questions, in addition to the information provided in Part I. Answers are limited to 250 words or less per question.

1. Provide a 'problem/solution' positioning statement that clarifies the need for your innovative security product or service solution and how it meets that need.
2. Describe the submission's technical specifications, if applicable. If submitting a white paper or case study, include supporting information on the subject of the written document.
3. Describe the submission's NEW security features and key benefits, including details about user value.
4. Describe why your submission deserves this award. Include specific information regarding your submission's NEW unique and/or novel features and why consumers would find your submission attractive, compared to the competition, if any and why your submission deserves to be recognized as top in this category.
